What does it mean to Go Full Crypto?
It will probably mean different things to different people. To me, it means completely opting out of traditional financial services. After looking deeply into what cryptocurrency is, and what it means, Mrugakshee Palwe and I (Keegan Francis) have decided to Go Full Crypto. We believe that cryptocurrency is the future of money. We don’t just want to talk about this new cryptocurrency based future, we want to live it. We’re stoked to bring our experience of using and exploring cryptocurrency to our audience.
Like a lot of young people graduating university, I graduated with a pile of student debt. One of my dreams was to start my own business. With the burden of loans weighing me down, this was not a dream I was able to realize right after graduating university. I got myself a decent paying job at a FinTech startup. I started investing small amounts of my paycheque into bitcoin. This was a very important step in my crypto journey because after acquiring, and investing in bitcoin, I started to care a lot more about it. There is no better way to learn about something than to get personally invested in it.
The cryptocurrency markets ended up doing really well in 2017. There was a cryptocurrency bubble that piqued in December of 2017. I managed to capitalize on my gains, and this helped me pay off the majority of my student debt. At this time, Mrugakshee and I had met and begun exploring our mutual interests. She had also attended Acadia University, and took a computer science degree. The following year (2018), Mrugakshee graduated with her own new shiny computer science degree.
Mrugakshee was contemplating where to take her career. There was a part of her that wanted to work in industry, gain experience, and create cool products with code. The other part of her, wanted to jump right into starting a business. This aligned with what I wanted to do quite well. Both of us had a passion for educating, and spreading awareness on the technologies that we are passionate about. This is our calling. In November 2018, we started the Atlantic Blockchain Company.

The Atlantic Blockchain Company is a consultancy. We help businesses, government organizations, and individuals from all walks of life understand blockchain and cryptocurrency.
Blockchain is the technology that supports cryptocurrency.
With any new technology, there are barriers to adoption. ABC was started to help remove those barriers. We conducted 43 presentations and workshops over the course of 2019, educating more than 500 people in the Atlantic Canadian (Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Newfoundland & Labrador) region. We found that people were interested in blockchain, but way more fascinated with cryptocurrency. This prompted us to think about offering a service dedicated solely to cryptocurrency. Introducing, Go Full Crypto.
